At the Australian Junior Surf Championships held in Margaret River, two teenagers from New South Wales took top honours in the under-16 division. Zoe Freeman and Kai Thompson impressed judges with clean style and confident wave selection. Organisers said the event saw “some of the most promising young talent” in recent years. The win positions both surfers for wildcard entries in national-level contests later this year.
